Presented here allows the thermostat to regulate the temperature of a room in the house or a high temperature furnace, and has two temperature thresholds: a low threshold (minimum temperature) and a high threshold (maximum temperature).
It is based on the use of a PIC 18F2420 type associated with a LCD display 2 x 20 characters for easy viewing of current temperature and programming thresholds. The use of several types of temperature sensors can work on different operating ranges:
- range from 0 ° C to +100 ° C with analog type sensor LM35
- range from 0 ° C to +100 ° C with digital sensor type DS1820
- range from 0 ° C to +1000 ° C with probe type PT100 (platinum probe 100 ohms at 0 ° C) or Type K thermocouple
The accuracy is 0.5 ° C for the range between 0 ° C to +100 ° C and is 1 ° C for the range between 100 ° C and +1000 ° C. Three LEDs provide at any time whether the measured temperature is below the min, if the temperature is between min and max, or even if it exceeds the max. The output relay is on, which allows the control element of power without much difficulty.
