Hi, I'm Electro — an electronics hobbyist and maker documenting hands-on DIY builds with Arduino, ESP32, and IoT projects. Every guide on this blog is based on projects I've actually built, wired, and debugged myself — including the mistakes along the way. My goal is simple: clear, honest, step-by-step tutorials that actually work, without the fluff.
The advantages of thewound rotor motor compared with
the cage type are that they:
(i) have a much higher starting torque
(ii) have a much lower starting current
(iii) have a means of varying speed by use of external
rotor resistance.
